So my daughter has the windows on my truck tinted and the sides are way too dark, can't see through them at night. Any suggestions on removing it myself or should I have a pro do it? It's only about a month old.
    Thanks!

I remember getting the windows tinted on my turbo T-Type years ago. Took a little while to get used to. Driving at night, I couldnt see when making a left turn. I guess if you really hate it you can take it off, but I would give it a little more adjustment time. Removing tint is easy. Youll need a pack of sharp staight edge razors and window tint glue remover. I used 3M "First Kleen". Although this is not specifically meant for that purpose, it worked great in melting all the adhesive. Seems ashame as tinting work isnt cheap.

Thanks, lots to consider. I wanted the dark tint for the sun/heat in FL (just moved here) but I can't see well at night. I'll give it more time or like my wife says, drive with the windows open at night.

I removed window tinting from truck windows years ago and used a heat gun and razor blades. Be careful because the blade will get a little warm after a while. Worked great even took the sticky stuff off the windows. If you still have the sticky backing on the glass you can use Brake Cleaner works like a charm, but you don't want to get it on the paint.

In NC even while passing through you can get a big ticket for tinting. Some other states also prohibit it.

you can use any amonia based glass cleaner and a razor blade.
    the amonia disolves the adhesive.
