Working with a 1977 Pontiac Qjet #17057274 . Should I kit it & see how it runs ? I am not sure if the Idle system is up to my engine combo. Also I could use a baseline jetting set up for my combo. Engine is a 462 Buick ,10-1 cr.,226/240 @ .050, 484/505 lift., 113 LSA camshaft Thanks for your help Mark
Mark, i did the mods on 77 corvette carb after the guy tried to use the stock carb on a modified motor and melted the pistons twice. The 77 is a great carb after the mods are done, call cliff ruggles for the right kit and info. Please do not run your buick with your stock carb. You can also have the carb redone by some of the many fine rebuilders on this website. I've seen first hand what a lean carb will do to a modified motor. Good luck
Same carb number I use on my 455: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6zVd...ADvjVQa1PpcFOsE2EobL_SqZ6T57WBCiuYW1txXWpCQ0s= No guesswork involved setting it up, when you get time, call the shop and we'll get what you need for it headed your way.....Cliff
