    Jim,
I thought I heard Bucy say something about dancing girls in the shop......
Back to the subject, I'm diggin' the fabbed parts, I love building stuff from nothing, just wish I had more if the cool tools to do it with! Keep up the amazing work

    and the finished product..

Lots of work here.. took as much time to do this plate, as it normally does for us to build a complete engine.. (vacuum pump "puke" tank bolts in the car.. just wire tied there for the dyno session)

    Thank God it's done..!

    Very slick setup guys!!!:bglasses:

I love seeing quality fabrication like that!!:TU:

Seems like you could sell several of those mid and front plates - if you choose to.

One question...does the timing cover have to come off before taking off the front plate or will it slip around it?

    Once again...nice work guys!!

Jim how is it you can whip out the fabbed brackets with little effort but they are having such a hard time getting the fabbed brackets made for the vortech superchargers they were talking about for the 350's on the "high tech for old iron" forum?

Timing cover has to come off before the plate will.. Physical size restrictions did not allow us to make the hole big enough to get the plate around the assembled timing cover, yet retain enough material in it for adaquate strength.

I have the templates for the plates still, and I could be transfer the internal holes to a "blank" plate, to which the end user could then cut it to what they need on the outside for their mounting needs, in a specific vehicle.

All someone has to do is ask.. I will make then up.

Well, in all fairness, there are a few things you should consider:

    First off..

This is a complete custom application, and no mind has to be paid to any of the stock equipment.. I don't have to engineer around factory pulleys, belts, and accesories. This actually makes it easier.

    Secondly,

This is my full time job. So spending the 40+ hours it took to fabricate all this stuff went a lot quicker than if I trying to do it in my "free time". And there are 2 of us here working on it.

And lastly, mounting a centrifical supercharger, keeping in mind the unit having to integrate into the other stock accessories and belt drives, fit muliple years, and have mounts strong enough to support the drive power required for that unit, is altogether a different engineering task, than what we had to do here.
