    Lookin forward to it Adrian.

Just remember take your time when dissasembling them. Take a lot of pictures. And leave one of them together, because if you start trying to put it back together you will have an example!

Haha. Ok then make sure you get some help when assembling it. It is really tough to put something together when you don't know how it was in the first place.

I would not pay much for a block only.... I like to find them in cars running so I know what I am working with.

Find a good running 455, add the turbos on stock bottom end with ported iron heads and have fun.

one more piece of advise... even with my engine being a long block (bottom and top end assembled, i had a heck of a time finding all the accessory brackets, timing cover, pulleys, balancer... and made the cost overall really add up. if i were to do it all over again, i would have held out for a fully assembled core. ultimately its whats available around you. from the sounds of it, you will have plenty of time to track down the parts. just thought it give you a heads up :TU:

I was thinking about that too, but this is pretty much the only thing I could find around me ya know?

I PM'ed him, he would be more interested in getting them to someone closer because of shipping hassles, but if that falls through ill get em. Go for it though

Adrian, are there any scrap yards around you that have old cars?

There is a scrapyard around here if you are interested we can call them and see if they have a complete 455 in one of their cars. Thats where we got our spare.

    Hello Adrian,
I fully agree with the previus post, You should skip the empty 455 block and go for a complete engine with all accessories, you will save a lot of time and money. Just tear it down and if you build it to the 1970 stage 1 spec. you will be near the 400+ that you have in mind and you will have an excellent base to improve further if you like to.
I know what its like, my engine started off as a basket case, furtunately I have all brackets but just finding bolts in correct lenght in my part of the world is hard.
