IMMEDIATE TURN AROUND. I have heard that NORWALK had also been faced with this, UNTIL Mr. Bader hit them with the Figures, Jobs, & BENIFITS, NRP GAVE to the Community. Houston STILL has their Head up their Ass, with bitching about "Street Racing" and th way they TRIED to stop it, BUT only 1 Strip is even in the County, and they have chased the MAJORS out of town & County, so the money is going elsewhere. Hit them with $ Figures, and Employment issues. THIS will get their attention. JR Wills
New Jersey 101.5 was discussing this today on Jim Gerhart's morning show. Not one single caller called in to say they were against the track. Everyone has the same view as we do - you bought your house near a racetrack, so what did you expect? Where are all the bothered homeowners? Oh, and the phraseology the lawyers are using claims that the noise from the track has "adverely impacted their quality of life". I say they should just GET a freakin' life!

I love e-town, I broke my drag racing cherry there years ago with my 67 skylark (R.I.P.). You know with all the guys on here plus all the racers in the North East area I am surprised there isn't a North East Racers association to address problems like this. For example if there were then the dues could go to a legal fund which could pay a lawyer to seek an injunction from the court to prevent voting on this issue and also maybe an injunction on the homeowners from taking any kind of actions against the dragstrip if they purchased their homes knowing there is a drag stip there. Incidently I doubt they will be successful in ever getting e-town shut down to so they could build a devlopment because of the airport runway that lies 100 yards away from the strip running parallel to the strip. Even if they could abate the noise of the strip it is pointless because the airplanes make just as much noise. then they would have to abaet the noise at the airport as well and that doubles their enemies. If i was a jersey racer I would be contacting the new jersey private pilots associations (espically any where the members are based at old bridge airport 3n6) and make sure they know about the vote and are on your side. just a thought.
