    :ball: Hello out there...
Would anyone have decent taillight bezels for a 1971 Riviera? I'm not concerned with the finish as much as the condition of the pot metal. If they're "far from shiny", I'll probably paint them. The pot metal on mine has seen better days. There are chunks missing on mine in places which make it difficult to repair - I couldn't have been lucky enough to have damage to a nice SMOOTH part...you know, something I could fill! I don't need lenses, I already have an extra pair. Anyway, here's hoping someone out there has them...thanks in advance,
    Kevin

:Dou: I almost forgot...I'm also looking for the plastic trim that goes around the base of the front seat belts. My Riv actually has two passenger side pieces, so the "now-offset" opening on the driver's side causes the seatbelt to jam. Any ideas? Thanks again!

    Hey txgwildcat,
I actually need that piece of plastic trim on the driver's side floor that wraps around the seatbelt assembly. It's one of those goofy pieces I can't seem to find. It's probably the same piece on multiple Buick models. I'm looking for black, but I can always paint it. Thanks!

    Email!

    Hello, 69Wildcat430 -
Yeah, I'm still looking for taillight trim. Mine have chunks out of the pot metal in places that seem real tough to fix. Again, I'm not concerned with finish as much as a nice smooth surface with the details intact. I can always paint them. I've got the Carlisle swap meet coming up in April and I was planning on roadtripping for a day, but if you've got something I can use...I'll go anyway and see what else I can get into! I'll catch heat from my other half anyway, so I might as well enjoy it! Thanks,
    Kevin
:Dou: Almost forgot - you can email pics to obnoxion@verizon.net. Thanks again!

    Hello again,
Are the taillight bezels still available? I replied but haven't received any pics in my mailbox. I seem to have lost touch with everyone who said they have the pieces I'm looking for...

Not great, but I got 'em

    Kevin,
I have been holding off on posting to this, because I don't think what I have is as good as you are describing. However, since you are asking again ......
Here is my story. I have parted several 71s and I sell whatever I don't need to fix up my own car. On the seat belt piece, I know I have one that was cracked and repaired. It was on my car for a couple years until I found a better one. It wasn't perfect, but being black and down low it wasn't very noticable. I'm pretty sure I have it in storage but it may take me a bit of digging to find it.
On the bezels, I have several pair, all used and none are what I would call smooth. They are not cracked but the are pitted. Nobody repops these yet, so they all will have pits, some better, some worse. I have included a pic of a typical pair. This happens to be part of a complete taillight set, but I have others that I would sell separate.
Anyhow, email or PM me if you can't fine anything else and you want to take a closer look.

    About those bezels...

:ball: Thanks for the photo - mine look just like 'em. What you've done is enlighten me: I'm probably not going to find them in great condition! My Riv is a custom anyway, maybe I'll just grind down the problem area on mine and give them a clean custom look. As for the seatbelt trim...you mentioned a repair? I'm interested if the crack is sealed and there is no plastic missing. You'd be surprised how great of a finish you can get from a spray can of truck bed liner! Thanks again for the reply!
