Hi. I recently purchased a 1968 Buick Skylark Convertible and was wondering if anyone knew any website links which would show the original Dealership Standard and Additional options, VIN decode, rear end ratio etc. The engine is a L77 4bbl 350 (which I was told was original), the VIN is 444678H198271 and then my codes read like this: 12C ST-68-44467FL1 TRIM: 160 BODY: 121408 PAINT: K-2 Thanks. Much appreciated. I have been looking for days with zero results except that I found 8,188 were made in 1968. -Jesse
Welcome to the board, Jesse. There's considerable info to be found here: www.atlantabuick.com/GranSport.htm Also at www.buicks.net
By the way Jesse, there's no need to make the same post on several different forums.(commonly called "cross-posting") Thanks!
It's just that it tends to clutter up the board with repetitive posts/replies. Most of the time a post will get replies in a pretty reasonable time period. But if you aren't seeing any replies in a timely manner, you can certainly try another more promising forum, or just reply to your own first post, "bumping" it back to the top of the forum listings.
Trim 160 = Green (Platinum) Notch back seat. Paint K2 = Aqua Mist Body color with a Black Top 12C is the build date = 3rd week of December Body 121408 is the Fisher Body ID number. :beer
