Yeh, my stepfather wanted me to have his LeSabre when he passed last Christmas. I know he's not in pain anymore, but I don't want to torment him if he's watching me want to mod the LeSabre. I don't want to go crazy with it. In fact, I'd like to keep it classy - upgrade the paint, tint the windows, find some classy & kewl wheels. More important, I'd like to make sure the car is running in top-shelf shape. Honestly, I have little experience with big ol' American motors - my last car was an '89 Acura Integra. I would really appreciate any advice, tips, links, etc. for information I can use to decide how to prioritize my investments in this car. Thanks in advance, everybody! Also, I realize it's not the same kind of car I see being discussed here primarily, but seriously, I am finding myself becoming a Buick enthusiast.

I have a 93 Lasabre Wildcat. These are the problems I ran into . First you need to replace the plastic hose fitting on top of the intake this will break and leave you stranded. Yes they used a plastic hose connection and screwed it into alum.. Be careful as taking it out it may break it and it is pain then. There are metal ones to replace it. It you use the A.C. alot the heat from it will fry your alternator. Mine went at 37000 put some type of heat shield in there .
I know they changed up the engine around 94 or 95 so take the advice for what it it is worth.
Ebay has a after market air cleaner induction to replace the box something to think about.
    Good luck.
