  1. Is there any easy way to re-attach the inner fender flaps? I cant see a simple way to re-staple them??

    Thanks,

Believe me, it's a pain in the you know what. You'll need to stick each staple through the existing holes in the inner fender, line up the shield with the staple, make a small hole in the shield with an awl that lines up with each staple end, and the push it through. Then fold the staple ends over. It's pretty hard to do this in the car, and it's hard to get it to lay smooth. Yes you pretty much have to do this entirely by hand. Unless someone else knows a better way??

I just drilled out a couple of the holes a bit larger and used a small rivit. Painted the heads black so you can't see them. Lost too much blood working with the staples.

I couldn't even find staples when I did mine. I used MIG welding wire and cut and bent my own.

I just did this last week thanks to the advise of all the great people here. I used a 1/16" drill bit and opened up the holes and bent the staples over. I did it in the car and had very little problem. It looks SOOO much better with the water shields in. Don't be scared, just do it... I was wimping out for years and it really was one of the best things I've done in a while.

I agree, Just did mine last weekend by myself. not bad. I made a template and drilled new holes. I pushed the staple in and then went under and grabbed one side of the staple with needle nose pliers while i bent the other side down. Took a little over an hour.

Can you guys tell me where to buy them. I bought a pair thru OPGI and they were just a cut piece of EPDM roof rubber. I want them to somewhat look close to original.

    Thanks, Gary
