What all do I need to use the Innovate LM-1 on a carb'ed engine? Do I need the rpm adaptor? I'm sure I have seen several people at Stanton using them in their tailpipes, is some special adaptor needed for this or is the O2 sensor just placed/layed in the tailpipe? Thanks for any help.

There is an adapter sold seperately to attach it to the tailpipe. This method is less accurate than the weld-in bung since exhaust leaks, etc. can skew the readings. The RPM converter is handy for logging info, otherwise the log file is difficult to use for tuning since you don't know what the engine speed was for the different a/f ratios. The LM1 is no longer manufactured, it has been superceded by the LM2. I haven't tried a LM2 yet but use my LM1 often for tuning my own cars and customer cars.

My O2 is in my pipe just after the header on the dr. side. Just follow the instructions. It will give you real-time readings and you can display them on a computer. You'll see your burn-out, launch, each gear change and the slow-down after the traps. I LOVE mine and you will LOVE yours too. I have not bought any of the extra stuff, but would like to.

    Good luck, Randy:TU:
