Insstalling Seat Upolstery

    Just got my new upolstery from legendary and need some tips or tricks to do a good job. The last time I did upolstery was 40 years ago and I cant remember. Thanks Jim

    My only tip is to get a good hog ring plier like the one shown in George's pic.
    Have done a couple using the a cheap farmer type that I got at the local farm and fleet or Tractor Supply store. They worked but would have saved a lot of time with a good one. Have seen them in auto paint supply stores.

    silicone spray helps the new vinyl slip over the old foam...and it helps if the vinyl is warm...I set mine in the sun before sliding them on....

    I fit pieces of sheet over the foam to help the covers slide. Do it on a hot day and let the covers warm up in the sun.
