I'm interested in installing a push button switch to bypass the connections on my carbureot (4bbl Carter). Currently the starter is connected via the accelerator pedal and is actuated that way. I found a heavy duty switch at Eastwood, would this serve my purpose? My thoughts are this is a simple straightforward procedure, but I thought I would ask just in case other info to consider. Thanks!
If I knew the set up for this vehicle, I could help. Does the starter have a solenoid on it, or does the switch control the starter directly?
Hey there Ray, thanks for responding. Well here's the setup. Accelerator has on the linkage a connection to two wires going to the carburetor. From memory I believe from there, connections make their way down underneath to solenoid and starter? One is ridding piggyback on top of the other. Up top on the carb, there are only 2 connections and I'm thinking of wiring those to this switch I found at Eastwood to bring that onto the dashboard panel.
