I'm finishing up my 300 build right now and I've got a few questions about what to connect where on the intake and carb. The intake is a stock 1964 4bbl and the carb is a Carter 4028s. I have no idea what 1 and 2 are for first of all, then 3 and 4 I'm thinking of blocking off for the break in. I don't know what 5 is, maybe a vent? 6 is fuel. 7 might be for the distributor, and 8 I believe is for the pcv valve. Do I need the pcv connected? I watched Dallas Browns break in and he left it open. I looked through a few videos on Buick 300s but they all had different intakes (probably the iron ones) and carbs so they weren't a ton of help. Am I thinking right about these connections or what should I change?

7 should go to vacuum advance, 8 should go to PCV valve and yes you should hook it up. 4 should be water to or from the heater core. 1 should be going to your vacuum brake booster if you have power brakes. 2 should go to your automatic transmission vacuum modulator. I can't tell what 3 is. If it is water, plug it off. Probably cap off 5 and 6.
    I hope that helps.

That does help, thank you. 3 is heater core most likely so it's getting blocked off. I'll cap 5, and I meant to mark the fuel inlet as 6, so probably not capping that one :D

On my 64: 1, goes to vacuum modulator, 2 is plugged, 3 is for water heated choke, plug it
