I would like to use a 7045240 455 electric choke carb on my 71. Other than the choke, what problems am I going to run into? On the choke is it a just a matter of pulling off the integral choke and finding a rod, brackets and other bolt-ons for the divorced choke?

They want match up. You need a divorced choke carb to work with a divoced choke. I like 71-74 carbs best. 75 carbs are too complicated and were meant for emissions cars.

I bought it on eBay because it seemed like a good deal and I figured I would just go with the integral choke. But then I got to wondering about the swap backwards. Thanks for the reply.
