I would like to know what the interchangability of Q-jet and edelbrock parts are. Specifically, jets, primary rods, secondary rods, hangers, and accelerator pumps parts. I am working on a 780 cfm Q-jet off of a 72 b-body car that is now on my GS. I need to richen the carb up from the 73 jets, 44B primary rods, CH secondary rods, and S hangar. Will I be able to put 75 in it and then swap in some of my spare q-jet parts to tune it?

    Define "Edelbrock parts".

The Q-jet tuning parts that Edelbrock sells should be directly interchangeable--keeping in mind the difference in primary rods newer than '75 versus 74-older.

The Carter-clone parts that Edelbrock sells would NOT be interchangeable.

    What is a "780 cfm Q-jet"?
