Sorry Steve, you live in a class III state. You need to register it with the ATF and pay the $200 tax stamp. Readily available in Florida as are suppressors. You probsbly know them as "silencers"

Yes, its illegal to own a non registered full auto rifle

The current laws do not preclude any lawfully permitted U.S. citizen from obtaining, owning, possessing any fully automatic weapon, (contingent on place, date of manufacture).

In other words, one may buy, obtain, and possess a fully automatic weapon that meets specific criteria. (But I am not going to enumerate all the points of this).

Only to point out that it is not "illegal" to buy, voen, possess, full auto (machine guns) in the U.S. by lawful means.

Second. Except for bolt action style rifles, revolver pistols/handguns, muzzleloading handguns and/or rifles, almost all modern firearms, (handguns, rifles, carbines, shotguns) are all, "semiautomatic" firearms.

Yes, "hunting rifles, hunting shotguns" and damn near every handgun, except revolver "Derringer " styled handgun are "semi-automatic" firearms.

The "gun", is not the common denominator, but the individual that choose to ignore, break the law and commit violent acts, is the common denominator.

Do not put the blame on those that have done no wrong, but put the blame on the wrongdoers and those who's actions and mindset, facilitate the environment which predicates those that would do wrong against the innocent.

Without speed limits, or automobiles, we would not have "speeders". So, it has nothing to do with the person....

That logic is absurd, but it is the argument of the many.

If our country was run the way you run your family, we would be under a dictatorship. You are in charge of your family, as you should be. But that doesn't correlate to an open society.

Let me relate a story. One of the hardest things for small business owners to do is delegate things. In order to grow from a $100,000 company to a multi million dollar company means you can't do it all. As an enterprise grows, it cannot be run the same as a tiny start up. You have to turn things over to others and let them do the job. Same thing in society, what works for a home can't function in the grand scheme. That doesn't imply anything about you or your family. If your home is great, good on ya.

Oh, and I'm not a criminal because that is wrong. It is the opposite of correct.

And just throwing this out there for anyone in the Largo Florida area...

My friend Eric Stoldt, who owns the other yellow original paint Q-Q GSX here on LI, bought Castle Keep Guns in Largo. He's dividing his time between here and there for the time being so he may or nay not be there if you stop by to say hello.

Hes very excited and was a dream he had for a very long time. Very happy for him. And I pretty much have a guaranteed job if I move down there. Man, all I need is a stripper girlfriend and I'm set.

We have had 14 pages of discussion on this, and as usual, those with entrenched positions will not be swayed by internet chatter. One way or the other... so let's move the conversation back to what we do agree on ... Buicks!
