illmatrix 65 RIVVY WITH A NAILHEAD

My name is Bill, Im from colorado springs, colorado. I own a 65 buick Riviera, cherry as can be. but I do need a few things to complete the deal.(see wanted parts post) It has the nailhead 401 under the hood. But I need to get some chrome under the hood. If anyone knows who sells a decently priced engine dress up kit for it PLEASE let me know. year one has some nice stuff, but the prices are astronomical!! 120$ for a chrome air cleaner?! Anyway I plan to post some pics in the next few days, for you peeps to drool over. All original, with a few mods to interior. But Iam pleased to see there are alot of Buick fanatics out there. Glad to be a part of the family!!

    Great to meet everyone!!

Just joining this site in the past two days I have met some fantastic buick fanatics!! Ive already found parts and made some new friends! RIGHT ON! I will toss my pics up this weekend, its gets dark by the time I get home. This daylight savings time thing is killing me... But thanks to all you friendly folks. I am in the process of getting my ROA membership rolling, can't wait for that first issue of "the Riview". So I can dump some more cash into my ride. Restoration parts are far and few between for the rivvy. But I am greatful my Riv is completely intact, with only minor things like a set of doorlocks(key got lost) and a few wires to operate my clamshell light covers (damn squirrels) to make it show ready. I plan to keep it stock but with a few extras under the hood. Like some chrome and repaint the block. Thank god I bought an engine lift last year, it will make this process much easier. But enough of my rambling. Thanks to all!!

    Hey Bill,

Just be glad you have a 63, 64 or 65 Riv. At least SOME pieces are available.

Stuff for 1966+ just doesn't exist.

Visit my website in my tagline below for a lot of Riv info. Basically 1969-era, but a lot of it applies across the years.

Thanks for the info!! I bid on it but I will wait until the auction almost ends to get the best price!HEH!! Reserve must be 200$ or more. Nut it is worth it. I priced some valve covers for the 401, the valve covers alone are 200$ So it is a deal!! Once again, Thank you!!
