Hi, I am Doc Miller and I have a 1966 Buick Lesabre 4 door. It has the 340 V8 with the ST400 three speed transmission with the Switch Pitch feature. Currently, I am repairing it once again, since it sat from 2008 until this year. I bought it in Kansas from a guy who, if I have the story correct, got it from the original owner to flip it. It is in pretty decent shape, but still needs a lot of work. I am hoping that I can learn a lot more here. I will be asking questions, since I did not know much about these old Buick cars prior to my purchasing this one. Anyway, it took three months to get it going enough to drive again and now it has broken down again, but hey, that is the fun of driving an old classic car. I am 50 years old, disabled and I used to do all of my own mechanic work (at least as much as I could and if I couldn't do it, I relied on one of my two brothers who are mechanics). Now I suffer from neuropathy and diabetes and can't do much, so I have to get other people to do most of my work on my car for me. Thanks for having me here. I am looking forward to learning more and meeting more Buick enthusiasts. Here is a picture of my 66 Lesabre.
Welcome Doc, a wealth of knowledge and help is here. My first Buick experience was my moms 62 Lesabre with the 401 in it, got me dialed into Buick torque and I've never looked back. Sorry about your disability, hang tough and enjoy your classic.
Where you live? I stomped around Kansas many years ago, and my little brother, SIL and my 5 nieces all live there.
Welcome! I think? the post makes it a Sedan. If it's really a ST400 again i'm guessing its the 340-4 high compression. Some came with the ST300. Doc, more pics would be nice
Welcome from Central Florida. You'll get lots of expert help here and the search feature is another great way to do your research.
WELCOME! from Miami, Florida... though soon to be Las Vegas, NV (Baby!) I look forward to following your restoration progress... and seeing the interior and engine bay... -MIG
