Are ya out the. Moved from Colorado and need to find the local "go fast with classers" out here in the midwest. Paul
Paul, whereabouts in Iowa are 'ya? I am in the very South-Eastern corner, a town called Keokuk, Iowa. There's not but only maybe a handful er two of us Iowan Buick Fans! What's your fleet consist of? I am sure you must have a Buick?!? :bglasses:
Buicks anyone I have a 64 455 Skylark street strip. I have friends out of state with a wide variety of GS and GN's. What do you drive?
Awesome! I have a '76 Buick Century w/ a 350 Small Block Buick engine, but it's only a 2 barrel w/ single exhaust(Cherry Bomb Glasspack muffler). Had a 231 V6 oddfire engine in it, but did an engine swap and put in a the '70 Buick 350 from a skylark, and it runs good and strong for stock, and it fullfills it's daily driver purposes. :TU: What part of Iowa are you from, if you don't mind me asking that? :3gears: I consider myself more of a car guy than just a Buick guy, but Buicks happen to be my favorite. Mopars are cool too! :bglasses: Looks like you have a '67 GS400 4-speed as well?? If so, then that's a rare car you have there. :TU:
thanks for the welcome, yea the '67 is Dad's car. He bought it new and it's been babied since the day it was bought. It drives as well as a new car. It's nuts but it's true. I am biased but it may be one of the cleanest in the country. I live north of Des Moines 40 minutes. Any Buick folk in Illinois?
Watch out! Watch out for this guy, he's really a Mopar fan in a thin disguise! :moonu: That '67 GS 400 is too nice for him, it should be mine! :Brow: Have fun out in the flats! :3gears: Jim
Give a call to Mike Rielly he's in Ames. Also has a 67 GS 400 , Good Guy to talk with 515-577-8012. tell him Mark say's hi
So the '67 has been in the family for a while eh? Now that is rare all in itself! :TU: Too cool! :bglasses: I don't live to terribly far from you, maybe a 2, or 2 and a half hour drive, because I live about an hour and a half from Des Moines. :Smarty: Maybe we should meet up some day since we are fellow Iowans! :3gears: There is a ton of Buick people in Illinois, probably about 8 or 9 times as many Buick folk there as there is in Iowa, lol.
I am too an Iowa Buick fan. I might not be able to help a lot on buick info, but i tinker with anything I can get ahold of. I have a 1968 vette, 1939 chevy 2 door sedan, 1992 cummins powered pickup, well you get the picture. Oh, maybe some of you other buick guys in Iowa have seen this car. There is a really nice 1969 GS400 stage 1 conv running around Des Moines. It is black on black. I believe it is a 4 speed car as well. But anyway it is really nice. Talk to ya all later, Ryan.
I'm an Iowa Buick Nut. Council Bluffs is where I'm at. Come on over for some Drag Racing at the Mid America Motorplex. Not alot of Buicks around here, but there are a few. Good to see some more. :TU:
I am an Iowa Buick fan too. Got two of them. A 1973 Riviera GS, and a 1986 GN. Actually the 86 is my wifes toy. She even lets me drive it once in a while. We live near Newton. There are a couple places in Des Moines that have weekly cruises. Sounds like there are several of us that aren't too far away. Maybe this summer we can all meet up. Kevin Johnson
