I wanted to check with some other sources on a post I received that said the performance differences between the current Aluminum intakes on the market and my original iron intake were very close on a warmed over 455 stage 1 motor. If this is the case I would like to spend that money on headers and upgrade to the aluminum piece at a later date if needed. With that said are there any other header options for the 455 that are better priced than the TA and Poston stuff with the same performance. Thank You...
Check out this thread. Good info on HP numbers with various intakes. http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?t=55930&highlight=b4b
I'm guessing I read that right Looked like the stock did 495 horse versus the SP-1 w/ a spacer @ 525 horse 270 odd dollars for 30 more horsepower. Pretty good bang for the buck. I'll look that direction @ a later date when I save my coins. Might have to run the stock one @ first for a while I need to cut back on the stuff I can bolt on later without taking out the motor. :TU:
