Anybody ever get annoyed by the people that approach you about your car? I swear I can't even pump gas without somebody walking up and asking if I want to sell it. Hell even at a stop light. My car is clearly a project so I get it....kinda. It's just bare metal and epoxy. But anybody that know...knows. You can see the amount of brake, suspension and interior work that has been done. And not to judge a book by it's cover, but most of the people who ask me if it's for sale probably couldn't afford it if I were to sell it. I may start giving answers other than "No". "$15k and it's yours!" And then there are the "I used to have a ....." people. Had a guy walk up to me in my driveway Sunday, "I used to have a 69 Stage 4!" I'm not the type to embarrass anyone, so I just let him talk. He went on to talk about all the muscle cars he used to own. A 67 Chevelle SS with a 396 (with the obligatory $100 bill on the dash story), a 69 Corvette, Fastback Mustang and on and on. When he walked away I turned to my wife and said, "Yeah, there's no such thing as a 69 Stage 4." She got a kick out of that...she knows I'm not the type to argue or call anyone out....I just let em talk. I mean I guess if I don't want that type of attention then I shouldn't own cars like these. But I own them because I enjoy them...not for attention. Anybody else ever get annoyed??
