Dam, I feel like I'm one of only a few here. Is there a bunch of Buicks hibernating out there? This is pretty boring reading my posts over and over. Maby summer will bring out some people. Ware are all the moderators hiding? Am I tabu?
I'm on here quite a bit. Even though my car is basically done. While you're rebuilding a car you are inclined to ask more questions. Now that my car is mostly done, I peruse looking for ideas or sharing whatever limited knowledge I've accrued over the years. I find a lot of threads just are not relevant to me but I still may participate from tiem to time anyway just because I consider a lot of these guys on V8Buick my friends, although I have met very few of them.
Ken, I see now what it may be, I myself only reply on stuff that I have exp in. But a lot of the time I may just post an alternative off the wall view. .I guess I just expect there to be more off the wall people in the Buick forum
I'm here a lot too, but I don't post much. I've got more to learn, before I can be helpful. I also don't have a car to brag about yet. What I do have is a nice pile of engines, and a growing collection of parts to build a couple of them.
I read far more than I post anymore, and I stepped on the wrong toes at one point so I'm probably on a short leash. Plus my cars pretty well done (people have been subjected to enough of my nonsense drivle with my novel of a build thread), so I throw in input when I can, but don't really feel knowledgeable enough to be much of a teacher on things. I mostly just try to throw in a soft "funny haha" or compliment someone's car/work etc once in a while, but there's only so many "good job/nice car comments I can make before I feel like a broken record wasting bandwidth. Although the wifey is already asking me "its been about a year since you got the Buick mostly done, what's next??" So maybe I'll be back in a year or two with another (far too lengthy) build thread. But that's not even close at this point. For now I'll just live vicariously through j-cooks constant acquisitions.
I'm here but don't write much because of negativity. I read a lot of the old post and go do research. I'm still learning. I'm waiting on my big port heads and possible block. I'll post pictures of them soon ad I receive them.
I think I remember you Shawn on them head porter threads. Nothin wrong with stoking the fire in a gentlemanly way.
