Is there a difference between a carb from a motor that doesn't have A.I.R. and 1 that does? Thanks, Dan:3gears:
There are differences in different years but probably not for AIR. 71-74 carbs are the best at 800 cfm where earlier carbs 750 cfm.
There were minor differences with these carbs, especially the idle and off idle metering, however, the primary reason for the air pump was to pump air into the exhaust manifolds to make the mixture look leaner after the burn. The carb mey work just fine on a non pump vehicle. The metering is colse enough to try. Ray
