I will have a bunch of '76 Electra 4 door parts I will be parting with, is there a market for them?

There is a demand for excellent dash pads from these cars. They are always cracked or at the least, broken at the driver side edge-the corner where it comes to a point.

    Hi
I see it says that your car has power mirrors an LED interior lights.
    Interesting:)
    Whats the story about that?

There is no story really, mirrors were from a 1983 Park Avenue (which I found in the trunk when I bought the car). The man I bought it from only had Buicks and had taken lots of big Buick car parts from local part yards.

The lights are just individual 5mm 3.5v cool white LEDs. There are 24 evenly placed around the roof trim (except the top of the windshield. There are 3 10mm cool white LEDs installed in each trim plate that covers where the front seatbelts meet the roof. These are separately controlled reading lights in the back of the car, like the Lincoln and Cadillac had for the rear passengers. All lights are switched like the stock interior lighting, on the ground wires at the door jambs and headlight dimmer switch. Stock interior lighting can be switched off (cigar lighters are also on this circuit and are switched off as well).

Do you have pictures of it?

I have tried taking pictures, but they don't photo very well.

I was about 17 or 18 when I did this. Would do it a much different way if I had to do it over again. Probably put twice as many lights in. I had no idea how bright it would be. It is brighter than the stock lighting, but not as bright as I had anticipated it to be.

These are cool-white LEDs (higher color temperature maybe 4200kelvin or so, like a xenon headlight). Not like the stock yellowish stock lighting.

    Hi
I have been thinking about putting a light outside on the C post, like some of the limousines, its has the size for it, but I don't know?

I put LED lights into my Lincoln's opera lights. You need either a strip, or something that has a wide beam pattern. If your car still has a vinyl top that would work a little better. My car does not have vinyl.

I have vinyl, but I have welded shut the opera window on the C post.

Well, if you google "opera light" and look at the images you can see a few different ideas. Since you don't have the windows, you have more space to put a few lights. These are kind of cool, but white would also look nice.

Are you allowed to add colored lights to your car in Norway? In my state, I'm only allowed to do red or yellow for turning and white or amber for running lights. Since these lights are such low power, you could probably splice them into the license plate light or rear quarter panel light safely.

Nothing is allowed in Norway:confused: but we do it anyway:Brow:

Actually its not so many years since it wasn't allowed to have markers on the side of the car.
