It just keeps getting better...

Greg Schmelzer What are you looking at?!

Well, as most of you are aware, my daughter has a dependancy issue and is in rehab.

In order to get her the help she needed, I turned her in to the police and she became a ward of the state. In the original probation, I was to incur no cost for treatment as the state is to pick up what the insurance did not pay.

I lost my job at Tyson foods because I was taking time off to get her to and from rehab. When that happened, I lost health insurance. I still have not found a job and, therefore, no insurance.

Here is where it gets better. I have a hearing this a.m. because the State of Nebraska is suing for child support even though I am to not incur any charges for her care.

I have to go in front of a judge, paid by the State of Nebraska, to decide if the State of Nebraska gets the support. I am so screwed. How much of my $252 unemployment will they take? I will let you know this p.m.:af: :af:

That's just pure B.S. We've got our fingers crossed for you, Greg.

We hope you get a judge that has a little common sense.

    Take care,

I don't know about that one...........good luck, Greg.

The child support thing really chaps my:moonu: , My ex wife owes me thousands and I have spent almost as much trying to collect it and so far have gotten nothing. I'll bet when the state wants it, they'll get it regardless of the circumstances, man or woman.:af:

Sorry to hear that Greg. The gov't seems to have a way about picking on those that don't deserve it. Good luck in your dealing with them and hope it comes out all right.

Try to point out how much it would cost for the trial vs how much they'll be taking out of your unemployment. They're not going to come out ahead no matter what. I hope your daughter gets the help she needs and comes out ok.
