    HI folks!!! I can't seem to find info on my vin # 4657H7H101274 I have a book for chev and ford but not buick.any help would be great

    The first H is actually a digit. Take another look at your VIN. I think you may have some other mistakes in the copy.

    its realy nasty and hard to see. I have to pull the glass any way but the sticker on the door has the same #

    Look at the cowl tag on the firewall under the hood drivers side.

    Is it a 67 Wildcat?

    It's a 76 regal 08 76 by the sticker on the door post. I just got it as a winter project and was looking for info befor I tear in to it . thanks for the break down on the vin thats a big help.

    Perhaps it is a 77 model made in August of 1976.

    I will post some pics when I find the spot to do that. Is the 2v a good platform for HP??? I was told that it has oil pump issues????

    Production of 1977 models began in August of 1976. The VIN says it's a 1977 model, not a 1976. Your title should say it is a 1977 model year, not 1976. It is a VERY early production vehicle, #1274 down the line.

    Post the information on the data tag, under the hood attached to the firewall.

    Two things: 1.) You need to have 10 posts, and 2.) the file size is limited - I usually resize to 800x600 and that gets them small enough.

    4 more posts and you're in! We like pictures!!

    I just got it in the shop. A new bat and a little gas down the carb and it runs like a top but it has a rod knocking !!! not that bad it gets better when the oil hit's it but it's still there. I still can't upload pics but I will try later. I have more vin info that i will post shortly. New toys are to much fun!!!!!!!!:grin:

    I had to look up Willow Beach :laugh: , You'll probably have to look up Fenelon Falls, I'm about 1 1/2 hr from Newmaket.

    Hi Jim. I just got the 77 in my shop and can read all the numbers now.The body tag reads ST 77 4AJ57FL1010165 BDY TR 44D 48 44 PNT AM5 44X 08A A31 The tag in the dash as best I can read is 4J5747H101274 and the door reads 4J57H7H101274 It has 53984 mi and all the numbers are nice and even on the odometer. when I pull the glass I can clean the tag it's probly the same as the door.

    ST 77 = 1977 body style.
    4AJ57 = Regal Coupe
    FL1 = Flint Assembly
    10165 = Body #165 @ Fisher Body
    TR44D = Interior Trim (Sage Green cloth & vinyl)
    48 = Lower Paint code (Medium Green Poly)
    44 = Upper Paint code (Light Green Poly)
    08A = Time built code (08 = August, A = first week)
    AM5, 44X, A31 = Option codes.

    Thanks for the info !!!! I'm still working on pics but now I got my son working on that part !! all my files are to big so he will make it all the size i need . wish me luck.
