    im new with buicks, any help would be great. my vin reads 44678h173724 the vin plate reads 11C ST 68 44467FL1 91 416 TR 160 P2 .............68 GS CONVERT? COLOR?........THANKS

    Well yes and no. If it has triple 4s as is indicated on the cowl tag then no it is not a GS . It is a skylark custom. The first 4 is Buick and the next two 4s means custom. The 67 means convert. The 8 means 1968 and the H and F1 mean Flint Plant.

    Both the custom and the GS converts. have "46" in the VIN.


    So I am presuming you may have dropped a 4 from the VIN so it really begins 444678H.......( sequence number)
