I have a (9J) "Y" shaped jack stalk for sale. The date is September 1969 and it would be good for a 1970 car that was built on Oct of 1969 thru to January of 1970. It is only the jack stalk, but that is the dated part of the jack assembly and is what most people are looking for. I checked it out and it works fine. It needs to be cleaned up a little and painted. The part is $50.00 plus shipping and is located outside the Philadelphia area. Thanks for looking. Duane
Duane, Sorry that I'm not interested in the jack, but a bump for you. Can you post a picture how the wire spring is located on the handle side? Mine came out.
There is really no way to take a pic of the spring on the handle side. You can hardly see it and there is not enough visible to even see what it looks like. I don't think you could even install a new spring unless you took the jack apart. Maybe someone else can chime in. Duane
I believe it created tension on the lever to change it from jacking the car up, to letting the car back done. Does it work correctly without the spring? Duane
