I was thinking about how nice it would be if we had a sticky with info on various Q-jet setups. How about we start collecting info like: CID Cam Compression Ratio Vacuum at Idle Primary Jets Primary Rods Secondary Rods Comments (like how it runs, issues, etc) Other detailed info that would be nice (if people have it) would be: Idle Tube Idle Down Channel Upper Air Bleed Lower Air Bleed Idle Bypass Air Idle Discharge (aka Mixture Screw) Holes
I second the motion. I am learning about q-jets by reading the usual books, my service manual and then trying to remember what I did when I rebuilt my last Q-jet. I wish I would have written down the jets rods hangars and such so that I would have a strating place to make changes to get the carb tuning right.
