I went to a salvage yard today looking for Skylark parts cars and I found this. Maybe ya'll can tell me if it's rare or just what it is.
It's a 1968 Skylark Custom GS convertible with a 350/2 and automatic. The top is gone but all the frame is still there along with the power top motor. It has bucket seats but column shift and not all that much rust in floors.
I don't remember a "custom" Skylark but the badge on the rear quarters said custom and in the grill was the red GS.
What do ya'll think? Is it worth $1000?

I doubt a 2bbl would be on a GS. Run the VIN on the board and you'll have your answer. Sounds like a Custom Ragtop to me.

It sounds like a custom that someone added the GS emblem to the grille. The VIN number will tell. The engine is not correct for a GS.

    greetings...

kinda wierd but I too came across a 1968 GS with a 350-2 barrel in it in the boneyard. Someone had taken the gran sport emblems from the fenders(grill was gone):ball: hood was there though!!:Brow:
