Couple of pics of the new wheels and tires for Jewel.. mechanical is finally done, now time to start the interior and body...
Engine: 300 4bbl, rebuilt by me
Trans: st300/sp, super tight shift built by previous owner
Diff: 336 gears, Eaton posi, new bearings and seals, rebuilt by me with a lot of help from Monzaz (thanks Jim)
Susp: UMI upper and lower boxed, non adjustable, and Energy Suspension poly graphite bushings everywhere
D Shaft: Original but new joints

And as I said... now comes the expensive part of Jewel's revival..body and interior, which I have to have have someone else to do. But, you know, it's like I said when I started the project, if the money and my health holds out I will someday have a NEW 1964 Skylark!!!!!!!!! That is a sharp 64:TU: What size are the wheels and tires? Look real balanced to car. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the comps guys. The wheels are Ultra 571, 15x7's and BFG's are 225x70x15. I didn't want to go wide, but just needed off the ground more. The ralleys are stored so they can be replaced if needed, as all the other stock parts. I just decided Jewel should have a "day two" resto. Hardest thing to find was the shift lever knob in red, so a friend lathe turned one for me from billet alum, then he added the turn sig lever knob... REALLY nice to have talented friends.

    Best to all

    Don
