This isn't exactly a gear question but close. My 65 Skylark GS has the M-20 4 speed and 3.90 posi and too much power for the 14" rear tires. I want to change to 15X8 rear wheels with 4 1/2" back space. Does anyone know if they will clear or should I go to 15X7s with 4" back space? What tire size would be best? I want to leave the stock 14X6s on the front. Would that look good or would it be too jacked up in the rear? Also, any recommendations on a good brand of red lines? Price matters somewhat. This is not a drag racer, just a street rod.
