A buddy of mine is looking for some junk 45 fin aluminum drums. Let me define junk, meaning turned too far or the steel is delaminated from the aluminum. The fins and aluminum need to be in good shape. We will be removing the steel liner and putting them over a set of disc brakes on a hot rod. The lower the price the better as they would not be usable on a drum brake car.
    Thanks

Here you go. Got this loose from a Mopar guy I know, have no idea of origin. Mid sixties BOP? This is likely large car, has 5 x 5 bolt pattern, 1/2" - 20 studs. Fins good, liner not good.

That looks like what we are after, whats your price shipped to Utah 84701? The 45 fin drums are from 58 to about 64-65ish big cars.
    Thanks

I will send you a PM. Also have this one, but it is in better shape and has more fins. It cleaned up well on brake lathe.

I am bringing this back up, we could use a couple more. They turned out so nice that another buddy wants to do it.
    Thanks

We knock the hub out, machine all of the iron liner out and then drill the new bolt pattern in it. The first one was on a set of speedway discs on a strait axle, 10 inch rotors and GM metric calipers. With the liner machined out it slides over the hub and "covers" the rotor and caliper, you can see the discs from the inside but from the outside it looks like vintage hotrod Buick drums. No pics, after mock up we tore it all apart to work on the rest of the truck.

Right now I need 2 more. These are going to fit over 54 Ford F100 front drums. They are 11 inch but are self energizing and work far better then the early Ford 12 inch ones.
    Thanks

I have a set on my race car.We will be taking them off in the near future,so if you still need them by then,I'll gladily sell them to you.By the way,it still stops the car going about 150 MPH at the end of the 1/4.Bruno.

Do you have the big car 12 inch drums on your race car? If so how did you adapt them to work? That sounds interesting.
    Thanks
