There is a HUGE yard in Bernville Pa near Reading that has a lot of Buicks. It is on Swissdale Rd and it is called Hoffert's. Must be 15,000 cars in the place.

Englers in Nuangola. I live just outside of Wilkes-Barre and go there often. Lots of old stuff in there. Several old Wildcats in there from the early 60's but they are pretty picked through.

And rotted. Lot of Buicks at Englers. A lot of other car brands, too. One of the few yards with 70-72 Cudas and Challengers. Many cars are missing their VINs. Klinger's in Pine Grove has a lot of oldies. Their perimeter fence is made up of flattened '60's and '70's cars stacked up about 5 or 6 high.

  7. i think you guys are talking about the same yard
    englers
that is a great yard, far prices as well, make sure to look threw the trailers up front of the yard as you go into the back section, riv's wildcats, and way in the back is a 65 skylark gs with the motor in it yet, all ythe stick stuff is gone now, motor mounts where there yet when i was at it

Check out the old school busses full of hubcaps. If you're there in the summer watch out for the bees, hornets and the snakes. Take spray with you because opening a hood that's been closed for years can be an adventure.

Was there a couple of years ago and there was a flatbed pulling big 66-67 Chrysler New Yorkers and Newports out. Owner told me some guy bought several of them that week. I watched one crack right in half as the truck was pulling it up, it was lying there on the ground for years.

Last I was there for parts for my 79 Turbo Regal there was still a very complete 68-69 Riveria about 2/3 the way up the hill. Quite a few Buicks overall, know the yard like the back of my hand because I live 1/2 hour away from there. Go often when the weather permits. Too cold now, usually go in the spring! A rite of spring if you will! The little church near there used to have a chicken BBQ late summer with a car show and you could tour the yard on a Sunday. Don't know if they do that any more.

Hoffert's is gone?! There were at least 10,000 old cars in that place. It must be over 50 acres. WTH?! They must have had 4 or 5 crushers running 24/7 to clean that place out. Post up some pics. I haven't been there in a couple of years. This is really sad.

Ed luekes is only about 15 minutes from me. Has a lot of neat stuff in there yet. Most are pretty picked throughor rusty but has several 68-72 skylarks and some early 62-63 specials. noticed 2 or 3 455s in big cars also. some 50's buicks also.

Baughman's has several dozen oldies at the NW corner of his yard. Been there for a long time and somewhat picked over. Still lots of good useable parts. The other yard is way north of town in the mountains and almost all cars are very rotted. Sitting in the woods for many years. He doesn't give anything away and most of the desirable stuff is gone. In a year,it will all be crushed out. You almost have to make an appointment to go there.

    Milo,

Did they used to have a 71-73 Riv in there? I was there when I was 10 I think and we got black door panels off a Riv. I think the car was blue.

We entered a green 71 electra 2 dr in the show.

Not sure on the boattails? Looking forward to the break in the weather so I can get up there again. It's kind of a rite of spring.

Yes please- an update on Hoffert's. I heard last year they only crushed out a 'newer' section. That place would've taken months to crush out.
