I'd been toying with one out here in Y'town. The kid put this huge vinyl top on his car. It even goes over the rear windows. Kind of hokey, but he took another step further and cut a hole in his hood. I guess he's pretty big on Chevy 8's. It gets better. My first dose of this dude was at a local Advance 'n 'at. I'm going out of the store and he is goin' in. I'm in my Grandma mobile (coincidentaly it is the a Limited and the exact same color as my T-type), he says: "What's that Regal got in it?" "Just a six." my standard reply. "Put a V8 in it!" our dear Cheby freind mentions. "Oh no, those V8's eat to much gas." Hop in grandma and I'm on my way.

I throw the T-type rims on grandma just to see how good grandma looks and I leave the T-type at home while I hit the Boardman cruise every Saturday. Ofcourse I pop the hood on Grandma to show everyone what she's got! :pp Just what every gearhead is dreaming about the perfect setup! Still working on it, but he may have figured out what is going on by now because at SuperNats ole' Horse Byte was out to play. I ran into him once. He blew by me at full speed at the end of cruise lane. I let him by and I mashed the gas so I was about three inches from his rear bumper and then made a quick right. The last Boardman Cruise I saw dear Cheby friend staring at grandma. Maybe its starting to sink in! I love it!! Horse Byte is down for tranny work, maybe I'll swap a hood over!!

You know a Chevy powered regal just ain't the same thing. I'll try refrain from any posts about doin a Chevy swap in a Regal from here out. I promise!!

I dont remember what year it was but you could have gotten a simulated convertable top on a Regal 83-84 something like that it went from the windshield to the trunk covered the whole roof was done by a subcontractor for GM could have been one of those maybe? I like to see a car and its motor be from the same manufacturer but you know a 350 C***y will outrun any other 350 for the same price parts are super cheap wish Buick parts were that cheap maybe TA and Poston will get the hint

Roaster, I'm proud of you for dealing with that guy so well. I think its funny you are driving the grandma car with the T wheels. I wonder if when you put them back on the T if he'll notice you've changed cars? That could be very funny when you Toast him and he thinks its a V-6 2V.

Chris. Yeah, Chevies are cheaper to build. But Buick put the distributor were it belongs!

dont forget the oil pump. I think all motors should have the distributor and pump up front Mopar did it with their BB,Buick did it with SB and BB you would think others would have followed

BOO.......You stink!! No offense, but its a Chevy in a Buick, an ugly Buick, but its still a Buick.

I've also noticed a trend in the Regals with extra cylinders forum........alot of people threatening to put Chevy motors in their cars.........must want something? :puzzled:

Oh..............Chris, do you want your chair back? :pp

    a Chevy in a Buick

don't feel too bad. my brother wants me to get rid of my olds 350 r code (which will be getting machined and rebuilt soon) in lieu of putting a 350 ch**ie motor into my 87. I got the r code for free but he wants me to pay for a new motor cuz "the parts are easier to find". I told him using very graphic language where he could put his motor......

i have to admit, even though my v6 to small block chebbie was a hell of alot easier, i think the stage 1 motor in my 84 limited will be alot more fun if i ever get the darn thing runnin.dan

i just cant wayt to get the morot done and into my car. the v6 has been good to me, but there are some imports in san antonio that need a lesson in cubic inches. (my buildup should be +- 400 flywheel horse)

Sometimes you have to show a little respect. This is a crappy car in many respects but you have to respect 632 cubic inches :jd: with nitrous :jd:

Respect and liking are two different things! No love for it here, but I might respect......depends on the driver! :Brow: Afterall this is a BUHOGG forum, I don't bring up this forum to read the latest Chevy motor talk or to read on how to put a Chevy motor in my Regal. Now to read about Chevy angst YES!! :3gears:

The engine is Flint built by Hardcore racing. Have no idea how good it runs and I don't care much for it. But that is a BIG motor. At least it is a Flint built Regal. Probably one of the famous Flint street racers.

Don't know if they do mail order. Hardcore is noted for having the fastest Firebirds on the planet.

Make your regal lighter and keep the 231 non/turbo'd and show him some 12 sec. timeslips. :bglasses:
