My restoration is getting close to done. The last two items I need are an exhaust system and tires. The car is not concours but I feel a nice restoration. What are the best options for exhaust. I see a lot of T/A radials on cars but would like a different look. Thanks Mark

Skip the TA radials, they're getting like torq thrust wheels....nice but way overdone. On tires check out Dayton Daytona SR's, nice big block letters in white like the original wide ovals. Several others make the same style tire. I don't see any reason to buy 149mph rated rubber for an old car that won't spend much time over 70mph...

I used a TA perf mandrel bent 2.5"system on my car, very happy with the fit and the quality. Downpipes will be needed as well if you are suing manifolds. have not run it yet but thats more function of the mufflers than anything.

    have fun!

The Dunlop Qualifier GT and the Cooper Cobra Radial GT are also a couple of pretty good looking tires.
I think the Goodyear Eagle GT II has too bold of lettering, but I know they are fairly popular.
It's pretty hard to beat the prices from The Tire Rack. They have a pretty cool website where you can see test information and owner surveys of a particular tire.
