Later Qjet on 66 Nailhead

I just purchased a rebuilt Qjet - #17057254 from a 77 Pontiac Firebird with the 403 Olds motor, to use on my '66 Buick Riviera. My questions have to do with vacuum lines.

Vacuum for the power brake booster will come directly from a port in the manifold OEM 1966.

Where do I pick up vacuum for:

    1) Vacuum modulator for the automatic transmission

    2) Vacuum advance on the distributor

    3) Choke pull off that's on the back side of the choke housing (This carb has a hot air choke which I'll be converting to an electric choke)

The vacuum for the heating and a/c controls also has a port in the intake manifold.

    4) Do I need anyother vacuum lines for any thing else?

What are the other vacuum ports on the carb for? Do I need any of them or do I just put a rubber plug on them?

    Thanks,

    Ed

Manifold vacuum either on manifold or a nipple on the carb. You will use a formed-steel tube having a "hump" in it just like GM did; this is to help prevent condensation from going downhill so it would settle in the modulator.

Manifold or ported, whichever works better for you.

There should be a nearby nipple on the carb for that; I'm 99 44/100% sure it's manifold vacuum.

PCV will most likely route to a large nipple front 'n' center on the carb base plate.

Vacuum headlight doors? Manifold vacuum to a storage tank, I'm thinking.

There'd be a vent nipple to go to a charcoal canister; and probably a purge hose to a different port on the canister. In that you won't have a canister, you won't be needing them. I expect you'd just plug the nipples. Maybe you'd need to adapt some kind of filter and hose arrangement to the vent nipple--I don't remember where else the float bowl vents.

I expect there's a nipple or two to supply vacuum to the EGR and EFE via thermovacuum switch(es) but you won't have them, either.
