A friend just came by, and has a oil leak on his 350 trani. It is leaking where the shift lever enters the trani. Is there an easy fix? Thank You, Rowdy2340

Easy fix? No, the pan has to come down, and the manual shaft has to come out. Then the seal has to be pried out and replaced. A trans shop can do it easily. The Ron Sessions THM 350 handbook describes how to do this.

You can do it without dropping the pan with THIS TOOL (just used the link as an example). However, if there is a "nick" on your shaft, it will have to be removed per Larry's instructions and cleaned up. Use lots of lube with the new seal. Not much rubber lip on them and very easy to cut.
