I think both parties are at fault here. Legendary for letting them go out the door like that and your upholsterer for just installing them as is. I'd be pissed at both

This should be a relatively easy fix for the upholsterer.

The problem in that case is the upholsterer will probably blame legendary.

Yep. The upholsterer should have stopped and picked up the phone.

I sort of agree. His attitude is a little like...... you provided me these seat covers to put on for you instead of having me sew custom ones for you. Here you go.

He said he doesn't want to put someone else's covers on seats anymore. He doesn't need the work. He specializes in custom work. But he will put my replacements on or even fix these for no extra charge. I'm hoping I can supply him with new replacements from legendary and be satisfied with the result.

Not for nothing but he sound like a real Richard. If he didn't want the job he shouldn't have taken it.

I wonder how close his custom covers would be to factory?

He does beautiful work and has access to the material but he admitted it would be very expensive. I'll call legendary back Monday. Seat installed for now.

My brain would say "Hey this looks like crap. This seam needs to be straightened out to make it look right. Let me take 30 minutes to rip those seams and re-sew. I'll check with the customer to see if an extra $50 in labor will be ok."

I'm getting the runaround w legendary. Mart, would you be able to count your dot perforations per row on your end panel between the piping and first seam? Im guessing you may have a couple more dots 2/3 down? Yours seems like it could be a bit wider 2/3 down but not as much as mine! Or if anyone has an original it would be helpful.

Ron at legendary says they were made this way and if they sent out new ones they would be identical. He also said he will confirm with their pattern archives.

This is a picture of my original. May have a couple more dot perforations 2/3 down. I guess I'm looking to give him the exact number to prove that it's way off from factory original.

    Pass side top-16, middle-18, bottom-19

    Here's driv & pass side.
It does have a swale to it but kindof the same on both sides. Abt 3 dots worth.
