anyone see Jay Leno's 56 buick in the march issue of popular mechanics????? very nice car , but what a shame he put a big block cheby in it! we should let him know how much sweeter it would be with a big block buick heart!
That is true...he should've put a big block Buick in that car. Nice car,but like you,I was disappointed that it had the Chevy in it.

a good friend of mine had a company that custom fabricated/built carbon fiber and fiberglass body kits for buell motorcycles and a few other sport bikes. his pieces really make the bike stand out and jay leno caught on and bought a whole kit for the buell bike that was ridden on the tv show witchblade. leno was the executive producer. so awesome being tied to car/bike people, i mean, this guy has rubbed elbows with such people as jesse james and arnold (schwarznegger)?...pretty cool in my book!
Check out the most recent issue of Hot Rod magazine which has an article on Leno's Buick. Just got mine in the mail yesterday. Great pictures of a nice ride. I agree, a BBB would really compliment that car.
We all know this feeling; "Oh bitchin! A hot Buick!" Then we turn to the page and it has BBC in it. When I win the lottery (I should probably start to play), I will have a super clean 55 Chevy and put a killer BBB in it. Now that would turn the rodding world upside down.
Jay was on American Chopper last night. Should be rerun on Sat or Sun again. They are building him a replica motorcyle of one he currently owns. While they were at his "Big Dog" garage, they were chatting directly in front of his 56 Roadmaster. I agree what a disappointment seeing a BBC in the 56. Jay also owned a 65 GS 4spd coupe while in high school so he is a Buick guy for many years. I would really like to see the 56 with a blown nailhead or a dual quad set-up. Oh well !
...everybody's got one. In the new car craft they have a Mustang with a bbc in it. Now, I was a chevy guy before I was a buick guy but this is really startin' to bug me. Sure its an unusual swap but come on. I wonder if it bugs the ford guys like it bugs us?:boring:
