Larry. Your car looks great. But I see a mistake in the making that I made with my Dave Kliener restored GSX. I see a car cover on the car in the enclosed trailer. That is a big no-no in my opinion. The cover will slide around and sorta scuff/dull the paint. My GSX was laquer and the cover rubbed spots in the paint especially on the stripes. I would hate to see you damage that car after all you have been thru. I would put the cover in the car/trunk where ever then once the trailer stops moving recover it. After viewing the pictures it would seem that you have a rockin car so now its time to show it off!! Good luck.
That car is off the hook. Larry is going to need a new room to keep his trophies... I'm proud of myself when I get my windows clean...I've never seen a 35 year old brand new car before. TSP, y'all did a great job!!
Point taken Mike.. But Larry's car is painted in Glasurite Base/Clear, I also would not cover a Lacquer car in the trailer, or even paint one in Lacquer anymore. The stuff ain't what it used to be.. I painted my last lacquer car in 01. The clear on Larry's car is very scratch resistant, much harder than say even a PPG concept clear.. We had no issues with scratching the clear, during final assembly actually had more of a problem when I left a few parts go too long before buffing.. I color sanded the quarter extensions about 6 hours out of the booth, but then they sat on the shelf for two weeks before I went to buff them..Could not buff the 3000 grit sratches out of them.. had to re-clear... Thanks for the caution, but in our case, the paint we used will resist the issues you had with your car and the cover. JW
I can't add anything that hasn't already been said except that the color is absolutely fantastic (I'll bet that took some color matching!)!! Jim and crew did an excellent job, Larry has an awesome car, the detail is incredible. I find it hard to believe that car could be done in 1000 hours! Simply awesome :TU: AND its a 71... :TU:
i cant add anything either, great job jim & crew!!! note to larry:all that time & money in your dream car & you let your kids in it & you actually drive it???? GOOD FOR YOU!!! :beer its too nice to toss on a trailer everywere you go  so are the boys fighting over who inherets it yet p
Darn Family Website!!! I would have to use all kind's of naughty word's to express how F*****G AWESOME that car look's :TU: :3gears: That has to be one of the greatest color's ever used on 71-72 GM A-body's,and anyone that won't admit that is crazy or jealous! :Smarty: That color just POP'S out at you. When you are at a show, and you walk down a row of black/red/blue  car's, and you come up on a Lime Mist car, it stick's out like a Turd in a Punch Bowl. Awesome car Larry, and Kudos to Jim and the Tri Shield Perfomance crew on a job done with surgical precision, WOW!!!! I want it!!! :3gears:
I think another cool aspect about Larry's car besides the color is the fact that it's a 1971. Unusal to see one restored to this level. Tom, I think you are a little biased about the green cars...
