All of a sudden my linkage seems to be hanging up (sticking) after the car sits. However, after the initial POP of the pedal all seems to loosen up and be fine. Any ideas?? :Do No:

Take the breather off & have a look at the linkage to ensure nothing is loose or snagged.Same at the gas pedal. Cable is encased inside a plastic sleeve & you may have some corrosion. These are readily available good used or aftermarket new. Go to "Parts Wanted" if you can't get it to free up.
You may also have a linkage issue right on the carb.. Worn bushings on the throttle plates possibly.

Disconnect the throttle cable in order to shed light on whether the issue is with the cable or the carb itself.
