    google says;
    Cat scratch fever
    Also called: lymphoreticulosis

    Main Results
An infection of the lymph nodes following a scratch or bite from a cat.
Cat scratch disease is caused by Bartonella henselae bacteria.
Symptoms include a red bump on the skin, fatigue, and discomfort. Lymph nodes near the injury may swell.
This disease generally clears up on its own. In some cases, antibiotics may be needed.

    Thanks!
I usually do wipe the scratches with alcohol pad if it helps?
Also read that since most scratches aren't deep there is no blood to sooth the burning.

Kinda make sense, my cat is open and friendly but her 1/2 sis is always timid and scared and takes a long time to get use to a person.
She's also quick to scratch from fear and even excitement. She will swipe when I stop petting her or when shes had enough. Reminds me of the wild were the female lion beats the daylights out the male when mating..
I stepped on her once by accident and she really got me good on my shin and calf and there was alot of blood but it didn't burn.

Cats go through stages of playing different, hanging out on a different place as we know.
About a year ago my cat started scratching the vinyl tiled floor trying to get cat litter or dirt? to cover different spots. She's doing it more and more each day, even in the bathroom or kitchen sink.
    Is that normal?

I don't know if its normal but Theo does that with one of our glass mixing bowls. We use it to make cookies, and as soon as we get it out he jumps in the bowl and starts digging and digging. Then finally he will curl up in it and sit down.
We often have to wash the bowl a few times before we get to use it, and frequently have to stop him from jumping in with the ingredients in the bowl.
Now that would be a mess.

    LOL!!!
It's so funny how they manage to fit comfy in the smallest of spaces:D The curves of the bowl have to feel good also. I really pictured it bigger..

Did you ever let Theo lick what ever cookie dough that was left after scraping it?

    No,
Theo only eats a few pieces of meat. He will beg for stuff but only eats 2 or 3 pieces and then that's it.

We have a whole set of those bowls, and if we bring out one of the smaller ones he still does the same thing, and will try to dig and curl up in it. It is hysterical watching him circle again and again and try to fit in the smaller bowls. Eventually he does it, even if most of him is hanging off the sides. I don't think he understands that the bowls get smaller. Even though he is a mix, they say the Maine Coon Males are very clownish, and he lives up to that.

He only does it with those bowls, he could care less about any other bowls we have.

They never seem to amaze and humor us:D:D
Every cat does something with every owner having a funny story no fail. Theo sure lives up to his breeds reputation!!
They say Tuxedo's which are mutts I guess are said have closest personality to a dog. It's so true with mine and her 1/2 sis that my neighbor has.. My neighbor will come over with her cat and when she leaves they both follow her like the pied piper. Mine licks me like a dog and know when we are sad or depressed.. Mine will bath me and put me to sleep with licks.

It gets irritating though and I swear her tongue can strip the paint off a car as its wicked rough.

Had a Family cat in the late 80's that use to grab my pointer finger and put it in it's mouth and suckle on it. It wouldn't let go and would hold your hands with its claws digging in..
I had heard it was possible that it was taken from it mother to early?? plus it didn't really know how to clean itself to well..

When I was a kid we had a Siamese cat named Boots. Every night he sucked his foot to sleep. He actually bleached the color out of his foot in that one spot. They also said he was taken away from his mother too early.

Boots also used to lick the back of my Dad’s neck 5 minutes before his alarm would go off. What a way to wake up.

When they want company or to play they don't care just how early or late it is!!
Then after they wake you they run around for a while and crash for a long nap cause they have been up all night!

Still though like you said what a sweet way Boots woke your pops up..

Max Damage I'm working on it!

I had the trunk and the backseat packed full with a Futon on top of the stuff in the back seat, and extending into the package tray area. He was free in the car, and mostly he rode looking out the back window, or sleeping in my lap. I had a litter box in the passenger foot well, which he wouldn't use with the car rolling. If he went over and sniffed it, I would pull over, then he would use it and I could get back on the road.

    He was extremely smart.

When he was old if he didn't feel like going outside to use the bathroom, he would go into the stall shower in the basement and pee in the drain! I couldn't believe this until I saw it for myself.
