These are the sad remains of a 70 Skylark Custom. I found this car in a junkyard not too far from my house back in march. (thus the snow) This car took a 70+ mph hit to the front, and if anyone was in the passengers' seat, they most certainly perished. The impact buckled the frame in front of the right rear wheel opening, the engine/trans/driveshaft were pushed back about 2 feet, and it ripped the rearend off its mounts. I got the rear bumper, emblems, and some trim pieces. Kevin
Boy, that car smacked something hard! 70 mph!! ouch..Looks like it has some good parts on the back half, deck lid etc.. which yard was it at?
man........grab that deck filler panel and the rest of ther rear window channel if you can, people can use that good metal....that's if its still good, i know i could dang sure use those pieces
Rick, this car was at a yard called action auto wrecking, its in a group of yards at colfax ave. and zeno st. on the east side of tower rd. This car has long since been crushed, but I got what I wanted and some of the local buick guys got the decklid, quarter extensions and some more trim. There was nothing useable from the rear seat forward, as you can see in the pics. Kevin
Timeliness Kevin: You need to share these tidbits a little sooner. :moonu: Besides, shouldn't you be in school :spank: "Where have all the 67's gone" "long time passing?" Uncle Jim PS the 60 is running again
Almost looks like a good friends car . It was a 71 4 door with 34000 miles . Driving a long leg of a trip with almost no sleep and yes he fell asleep and yes his foot was on the gas . He survived but spent the better part of a year in various forms of traction and coma . Nick was lucky to survive and the 71 yeilded only an engine , seat and taillights . Everyth8ing else was smoked ! Just a word to the wise , never drive tired ! I almost lost a good friend and another very nice Buick was toast !
