Wow, here's a part that's HTF. Who hates TPP now? https://www.ebay.com/itm/332891247295?ul_noapp=true
A. see if it fits correctly first B. If not,let us know how your return deal is.. C. YES mostly junky Chinese items..
You have to give props, at least the effort is there. Average condition used are bringing double or more that price.
that's what I planed on doing. My car still has the factory disc brake pad still on it with the common wear on the right side. I'll let you guys know soon.
I saw this star wars emblem referenced also: https://www.ebay.com/p/1967-Buick-S...itm=351172223082&_trksid=p2047675.c100623.m-1
See...They make things and even if there is just one little change, they still try to pawn it off on people as right parts.Wouldn't it be so much easier and simpler to make the correct appearing piece than to make a different looking part then have to sit on these inferior pieces?I bought 2 things from TPP and both were nowhere near right.Fought them on a 70 GS grille years ago and my credit card company ended up reimbursing my charges. Then I bought a woodgrain shifter handle for an automatic car..Screw holes nowhere near where they were to be.Ended up buying a real nice OEM and taking a loss on the TPP one..
Pat, this is all true and I agree 100%. It drives me bugf@#$ that they can't make a correct part, but can make a part that's super close. On the other hand, I am a bit grateful that they even make something like this. I don't need one, but figured I'd post for somebody who might and at the cost it's a good deal if it "works". I look at the 70 remote outside mirror they re-proed in there picture and it looks close. But you could still spot one from 25 feet away. I saw the Star wars emblem before and thought the same as Nick. So, I can see the posting for the 70 RH Tri Shield mirror this morning. I'd link it, but I guess nobody's interested, huh?
I totally agree Frank...I guess my issue is if you were going to spend all the money to repop items, why not do it as close as you can to an original part? I'd be more willing to spend a bit extra for a repro piece that more resembles the real deal than something produced that is really incorrect. But,we should be glad someone is attempting to make hard to find pieces..After all, these cars are 50 years old now and parts are becoming harder to find
Me. it's likely 87% correct just enough to look correct, but not fit . Not too mention they’re A holes to deal with . Sorry .
The guy is still shady as f... IMO. He's on Ebay implying that his crappy repro Hurst shifter handle is a rechromed original. GTFOOH https://www.ebay.com/itm/1967-72-BU...570002653?epid=2024634892&hash=item4b56466add
I just heard the stoutest New York accent since Goodfellas in my head...... Edit: And I think you only need one "O". Isn't it "Outta"?
LOL....Yeah, Ive heard that I have a pretty strong NY accent. You have to hear Shawn Riley's impression of me. Cracks me up! Im laughing just picturing him doing it.
