The attached pics are of a radio bezel that I got. It has the power antena switch. I have never seen one of these before. Is it an aftermarket item or stock?
The wiring looks definate GM. I've never seen a radio bezel without either a black or woodgrain face before.
Petunia and the junk 69 Skylark we bought both have the plastic/chrome radio bezel. That looks like the right thing, but I know nothing about the power antenna switch. It doesn't look aftermarket though does it?! Neat find!
There was just one of those on ebay a few days ago for a 68/69. I remember seeing it, and wishing I had a power antenna so I could buy it!
Chris Thats where I bought it. Got what I considered to be a good price on it and the seller shipped it right away. I have seen the bezels with the silver faces, but not with the switch. On my vert that I am doing I am adding the power antenna and I thought this would be a unique piece for the car. Does anybody know if the aftermarket power antennas will work on a 68? The type like they sell at JC Whitney. Has anybody ever added one? Thanks
My 69 GS has the same part. It came with the am/fm radio deluxe interior option so it might be part of the option. It is also the same color. I looked at the wires going to the ant. and any power ant. replacement should work but I do not know how to run it through the switch and have everything work right.
Ive got the same radio bezel with that same switch. It came off my original owner 69 GS 400 way back when. Its in great condition ...might I even say "mint"? Not sure if the switch is functional. If anyone needs one, I would be willing to trade for a 70-72 bezel in similar condition. Jason
