Got it off Ebay this weekend. I will be taking pictures of it today when i get home from work and will be posting them tomorrow. The car is in pretty good shape except for the left (drivers side) fender. I will need to replace that along w/ a small dent on the door. Grill is missing as well. As for the interior, the glove box is missing, radio,A/C. I'm just happy to have a Buick again. A good deal gone bad! MArv 65 helped me get my 65 skylark - which i picked up saturday - it broke down on the way home - had it towed, so it wouldnt get inpounded - parked it infront of moms house - and saturday she called and had it towed/impounded! a good deal but with interest only $800.00 at first
Nice skylark, Marvin. Where are ya' in LA? I am in Castaic, and I have a good friend, who is a Buick guy, Santa Clarita. He is retired, but keeps a small shop to work on his Buick hot rods. PM me. You got to come by the shop for a brew. Buick stuff everywhere. Congrats.
What's with this "impounded" stuff ? Does it mean they have the right to take your car off of the road ? What will be the guide rules to decide to do so ? And who is doing this ?
Hi Erik, A friend of mine "Luke Skylark" jumped on this thread to say that his car got impounded right after he bought it. It was all a mistake, he bought it, he parked it infront of hi's moms house and then his mom called the towed truck company to take it away. She didnt know that it belong to him....It's actually kind of funny if you think about it.
I see Marvin, But now I still don't know anything about this impounding business, and why it happening and by who... o No:
If for what ever reason, your car is parked where it shouldnt be. One of two things can happend, Get a ticket (in L.A those run for about $60) or somebody calls the city to get it towed. (To get your car out of the impound, that usually runs for about $200) :blast:
Congratulations! Man-O-Man, That's great! I know you are looking forward to working on it. Now the fun starts. ou: :af: :ball: :blast:
Thanks Marvin, So no wheel clamping in LA ? Good thing that you still have reasonable prices when you park in the wrong spot and get towed away.
