I think the critical measurements are throttle linkage to stablizing bracket and bracket to fire wall......let me know what you come up with....You have given me a ray of hope.....and i Thank YOU! sincerely, Chris
the 1 inch is 9 1/4 inch from throttle linkage to firewall is 9 1/4,the other part is standard on all the cables.The 19 inch is just about 1/10 longer then the 18 inch one.Bruno.

Thank you ever so kindly Bruno! Now I need a return throttle spring.....it was pointed out to me recently by another V8 Buick member....hitting the same brick wall.....were all 2 bbl rochester carbs and componets thrown away in some dumpster?.....lol.......Is an Aluminum manifold, with proper 4bbl....a better choice. that was our original plan....just to get this car running and inspected than start to upgrade. Not even sure how return springs are rated...... Thank You again, Chris
Chris,I think I have a return spring here,I will look for it and $5.00 should cover shipping.As to the aluminum intake,it might make a difference only if you upgrade with a cam,compression,and then go for a 4 barrel intake.But you should know,the 2 barrel off the line is just as good as the 4 barrel.In the middle and top end is where you loose time and speed . Give it a look for the Spring. As far as the throttle cable....I had to enlarge hole.....and talk to it to get it to fit....it is very, very close.....can the throttle be adjusted it is just hair to tight???? In other words it is so tight that I cannot tell if the idle will be to high....I guess I am finding out....this carberator is way trickier than I envisioned! Sincerely, Chris
