Still looking for a decent Buick GS convertible 350. Something that is decent, no work or some work but no major body work. 15K and under maybe
    more depending on the car.

Want to talk about this one? 71GS455 4spd convert. (real GS on the VIN, clone 455). Fully gone through by Jim Weise.

Got a leaking coolant problem now. I'm no mechanic so it is as is. Could be something or not a big deal. Water pump, hose, worst case a freeze plug. I don't know.

Clutch chatters in first gear, may need a new clutch. Originally AC car but the guts for that are all gone, just a cover on the firewall. Still has the dash plate and vents for an AC car.

You won't find a prettier car though, and they only made 18 4spd GS455 converts in 1971. Not that this is one of them. I was told it was one of six GS350 3spd column shift cars made and then upgraded to a 4spd by the previous owner. I have no way to prove it but I can give you the contact info to the guy I bought it from who said so. He said he'd throw in the original steering column but didn't do it. I had a 53 Dodge with a three on the tree and one of my college roommates had a 71 Ford Maverick 289 with a three on the tree. Both were peg legs and could burn rubber half a block.

I had Jim put a new 3.42 posi rear into this car. Didn't make sense to me that a 455 4spd should be a peg leg. The undercarriage was also gone over by Jim and is fully detailed. All new exhaust, emergency brake cables, etc. New tires back in about 2006. I haven't put over 2,000 miles on it since. It just sits around gathering dust and needs a new home to someone who will exercise and appreciate it.

I'm in it for at least $32K. Although over your target, I'll consider mid and even low $20s. Times are tough, takes money to buy whiskey. Give me a call if interested. 601 421 7385. Jackson, Mississippi area. 100_0354.jpg 100_0355.jpg BlueGS4.jpg BlueGS3.jpg BlueGS5.jpg

Please give me contact info and some pictures if possible. I saw one like that on eBay but couldn't get the pictures needed. Also was a bit more than I wanted to pay for the condition. The car was in Michigan had a pin stripe down the side. Think I offered 17k and it was a no go . Anyway still curious
    Thanks
