Hi, i'm going thru the parts i have to put my car back together. i noticed my fan shroud has damage. i have 2 other fan shroud,they look the same but there wider. so,i would like to buy a fan shroud. thanks Michael
Is there a difference in the 340 and 400 shrouds? What do you mean by wider? Is there a part number and if so where is it located? Thanks
I've seen bone stock (according to the owners) '67 GS400's with the same shroud as the 300/340's. I've also seen them with the shorter shrouds. I haven't been able to detect a pattern so good luck! As for the part number:
shroud Hi Todd, i looked at one shroud i have and its says Buick 1372784 and the shroud is about 5 inches wide. i will check the numbers on the other 2 i have, i know the one that came off of my car was not as wide. thanks for the info. Michael
I have 2 shrouds and they are 20 1/2 inches in diameter and if I lay them flat on the floor its about 3 inches high. I checked for a number on both it the spot that Todd has pointed out with the red arrow and come up with nothing. Each has a little notch and I think it on the drivers side installed. The only thing I found while looking for a part number was a crack and a small chunk missing from the fan blade on one. I guess that is the one that will go in the 64 with the 455 and the other will be for the GS400. Any other thoughts on where a part number would be? I checked everywhere. I have seen an wider one but that was on a 67 v6 car.
